We had a great time with our Minute to Win It competition and discovered that moving an Oreo cookie down your face without using your hands is WAY harder than it looks!

AND ... I don't know about you all ... but I had NIGHTMARES about green apple licorice!

We gave away 3 game consoles (courtesy of Play N Trade in Meridian) and  a ton of other stuff ... and made sure that everybody got hooked up with our Summer Reading Program.

School is out! Find a new series to read ... keep track of your reading hours and get ready to WIN!

Random Interesting Question

Random Interesting Question Time again ...

Q: If you could have ANY view from your bedroom window, what would it be?

My answer:

That's easy ... the BEACH! Because that would mean I am probably on vacation! Yay!

Watch out for the RAM!

Hey all,

I have been pounding the pavement this week delivering posters to each of your schools...yes YOURS. Look around for a sweet looking poster of a horned creature in a robe standing in the waves. That's our poster! The posters should have LOTS of information about upcoming events and our summer reading program as well. You are going to LOVE the prizes that we have for summer reading. Think "back to school makeover" ... and I mean ... haircut at one of the hottest salons in Boise, shopping, manicure and a ripped body for showing your friends what an awesome summer you had!  (see ... it pays to read!) Grab a bookmark from your librarian and get ready to download your tracking log, because the fun begins in just a couple of weeks!

DON'T FORGET...GAMING NIGHT ON JUNE 4TH @ 6:30PM!
(Start sharpening your "minute to win it" gaming skills ... unless you HATE to win, that is!)

Loaded Question of the Week

Just in case you aren't sure how this is supposed to go down ... I post a random interesting question...you post a random interesting answer. =)

What was your favorite thing you did yesterday?

My answer:
Read my new book - Nourishing Traditions.
                or maybe ...
Watch Celebrity Apprentice with my husband. It's a toss up!
Wait ... was I supposed to say "go to church" ? oops. =)

Check Test ... Check Test ... Is this thing on?

Ladies and gentleman ... teens and random folks who might be lurking around this blog ...
WELCOME TO "LOUD LIBR@RY!"

That's right, it's finally here ... or BACK if you want to split hairs. The Meridian Library District Teen Blog!

This is the place to connect to real live people and get "the deets" on the goings on at the Library. We are going to have (at least) once weekly postings about upcoming events, news, music and general randomness. If you're not careful (or maybe even if you are) you just might see some pictures of yourself up on this blog from time to time. Don't worry. I used to be a photographer and ALWAYS allow veto power on the pictures I take. (If you don't know what VETO means ... come to the library and look it up.) All in all, this blog is for YOU. For you to keep in touch with people that have the same interests that you do. For you to provide feedback and help shape the Teen Program at the Library. For you to express yourself and have fun!

Having said that ... Here are the upcoming events.

Summer Reading program is currently under construction and will have it's big unveiling at:
  • Gaming Night on June 4th @ 6:30pm . (more details to come)
  • NO PROGRAMS IN MAY (EXCEPT FOR BOOK CLUB on May 13th)
So...until then, I guess you will just have to come in and see what hot new titles we have in the teen section and drop by to say hello to me...Kelly, the Teen Specialist.

I'm out...(picture me dropping the mic and gangsta walking off the stage.)
